MEET GEORGIA POWERS

Georgia Powers is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is driven by a lifelong pursuit of beauty, transformation, and purpose. Her practice centers on creating modern yet organic works designed for specific spaces, often beginning with raw, insignificant, or building materials and elevating them into thoughtfully composed, refined pieces. The process of transforming what’s unnoticed into something meaningful lies at the heart of her work.

Her work is influenced by the expressive freedom of 1970s counterculture and  is informed by music and nature. Organic shapes and joyful color are set in deliberate contrast to the clean lines and disciplined precision of modern product and automotive design. Powers’ art reflects the depth of her lived experience and an enduring commitment to form, function, and beauty. Each piece is an expression of her heart, realized through her hands.

In addition to her wall-based and sculptural work, Powers creates bold, one-of-a-kind collage image earrings that extend her artistic language into wearable form.

Current materials include aluminum mesh, paper, plaster, gold leaf, acrylic, oil, and spray paint.
